About me

Why do this?

ueber michMy passion for cars was ignited at a young age. Growing up in a smoking household, I never ran out of matches. I would build roads with these little sticks on tables and carpets almost daily for as long as I can remember, playing first with the indestructible Matchbox and Siku metal cars and later, during my "Märklin model railway phase," with the beautiful Wiking models (shoutout to H0 scale). At some point, girls became more interesting, but believe it or not, a box of Wiking models survived in a corner of the basement!
Even though school and university led me to adopt a more practical view of cars, it was only a matter of time before my passion for automobiles was rekindled in my new job.
Nowadays, I work on current automotive topics for a German OEM. Good marketing always involves storytelling. The history of automobiles and the development of the brand heavily influence the narrative. Design plays a crucial role in this evolution and reflects the emotions we associate with vehicles. A car is and always will be more than just an "exoskeleton" for getting us from point A to point B – it moves us in so many more ways!
