During the summer of 2018, I stumbled upon an MR2 in Bochum on a popular online platform. The pictures were a bit hastily taken, and I was unsure if there was an actual deal hiding behind them - but no matter how the photos looked, I had to call! Shortly after, I went to see the car. An older gentleman, who happened to be one of the first German Toyota dealers in the 70s, had sold this model to a customer and later bought it back. He kept the Corona out of passion, as his vintage car collection included more than a dozen old cars: of course, some Toyotas, but also exquisite luxury cars like Bentleys and Jaguars fascinated him. "Eventually, it's time," he said, and that's how our conversation began.
It took a while before we agreed on a price, but in 2020, it finally happened – and it fills me with joy every day when I pass the car in the garage or take it for a leisurely drive on beautiful days - yess!
